Job Description

Vulcan Value Partners, LLC is searching for a Client Service Analyst. The candidate should be a team player, detail-oriented, motivated, resourceful and organized. The Analyst will be responsible for supporting the relationship management and business development efforts of the firm. This position will be based in Birmingham, Alabama and will report to the Director of Client Service. 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist with preparation for client and prospect calls and meetings
  • Prepare data and reports for new and existing clients on a scheduled and ad hoc basis, including: performance attribution, portfolio commentary, portfolio characteristics, etc.
  • Assist in completing due diligence questionnaires and RFPs
  • Work with the firm’s transfer agent
  • Provide assistance with day-to-day client service functions
  • Create and prepare firm’s marketing and client communication materials  
  • Special projects, as necessary

 

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Willing to pursue Series 7 and 66 licenses or Series 6, 63 and 65
  • 2 - 5 years of professional experience in the investment industry
  • Team-oriented
  • Competency with MS Word, Power Point, and Microsoft Excel
  • Goal-oriented and able to work in a rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong understanding of the importance of client service in the context of the financial industry
  • Wiliness to learn new applications such as FactSet Portfolio Analytics and eVestment Alliance
  • Familiarity with investment management analytical concepts, terms and definitions
  • Ability to multi-task and manage changing priorities
  • Strong initiative and organizational skills
